THERAMAL CONDUCTIVITY:  

The thermal conductivity of the PE-AL-PE pipe has a value of 0.45 W/mk, about 1/100 that of steel pipe but several times higher than that of insulating materials. No need of insulation in case of hot water piping with rifeng hot water pipes. Pipe can work at low temperature without bursting down to 40°C (20°C in case of gas pipes).

 
   
RESISTANCE TO ABRASION DEPOSITE & CORROSION :  

The inner layer of PE is not subject to corrosion and therefore particles of rust do not become detached. It does not dissolve in any known solutions and is resistant against acid, alkali and salts of various kinds. PE specially resistance to abrasion. This property is very important particularly in those places where the abrasive action of impurities content in the water increases.

 
   
LEVEL OF HYGIENE :  

Jindal composite pipe and fittings can be used in every type of installations without any drawback since it is hygienic, toxic free, rust free, no growth of micro organism.

 
   
SOUND ABSORPTION :  
The sound absorbing properties of PE-AL-PE pipes are very good. The pipes inner and outer PE lining decreases the noises that are normally not absorbed by metal pipes.  
   
COEFFICIENT OF HEAT EXPANSION :  

25 X 10-6m/m.k, only 1/8 that of all polyethylene pipe, almost the same as that of metal pipe.

 
   
OXEGEN IMPERMEABILITY  

The aluminum pipe forms a perfect barrier to gas molecules thereby avoiding corrosion hazards due to oxygen penetration and damage as a result of exposure to UV rays.

 
 
HYDRAULIC FUNCTION

The pipes internal layer has a smooth surface (roughnessO.007mm), scale free. The pressure drops are therefore very low and remain constant over time

 
   
FIRE RESISTANCE :  

The PE-AL-PE pipe does not burn readily thanks to internal metal layer. With the test by the national fire proof construction material quality supervisory test center, the fire resistance of pipe is proved to reach grade B1 of GB 8624. The density of smoke when exposed to fire is very low and emissions are not toxic.

LIGHT - WEIGHT :  

The specific weight of the PE-AL-PE pipes is very low. A 200 meter long coil of the 1216 size weights approximately 22.0+/-2 Kg.

 
   
50 YEARS OF WORKING LIFE :  

The materials have a very high resistance to ageing, if utillised at the pressures and temperature indicated (pressure value up to 10 bar, working temperature 800 C - 95 oC). Artificial ageing tests performed in the laboratory indicate that the pipe has a working life of more than 50 years.

 
   
BENDING PERFORMANCE :  

The bending radius may vary from 2.5 to 5 times the pipe diameter and the cross-section at the bend remains constant. Once the pipe has been bent it remains in the desired position like a metal pipe. A pipe bender is necessary if bends are required in large diameter pipes or a very narrow radius of curvature is required.
